As you can tell from my profile picture, I am bald, however, this does not stop me from visiting the hairdressers, usually as the designated driver for family members.
If I am ever waiting for anything, I always take the time for people watching, potentially my most interesting hobby. Now to the hairdresser: a family member has attended this small hairdresser in a local precinct for over 40 years and in that time, it has changed much but the quality has always been the key driver.
I have waited at this hairdresser many times, and I always reflect on the value it delivers for its clients, who appear to be a true cross-section of society from the elderly to the youngster who are looked after by different stylists.
Most of the business world is now striving to drive annuity revenue, drive down CAC, and understand LTV and many other financial acronyms that measure success. This hairdresser manages all these areas, the sheer number of older clients that have their hair 'set' is remarkable and you can safely say that they drive a considerable amount of 'annuity' revenue for the business.

And to be honest I also don't know many businesses that still have clients coming back to them after 40 years but the impact they have in other areas we should all consider, below I have highlighted several as food for thought:
