Hi, my name is Brooke Isai, work for B&R Racing. Come with me a day in my life to work the Quaker State 400 in Atlanta at Echo Park Speedway. Echo Park is my home track and I don't live that far away from it, so I was able to sleep in my own bed this weekend and not have to travel. So the first thing I did was pick up my credentials when I got to track for the weekend. Then I headed to the Media Center to drop off some stuff before heading out to Pitt Road to show BTS footage of Dale Junior's new show with Bleacher Report. Not long after that was qualifying for Xfinity and followed by Cup. Unfortunately the weather had other plans. A lightning strike to put us on hold. So that's where we sit right now. After the weather delay seized, I grabbed as much footage as I could of the wrecked cars and watched the race until seeing the 48 cross the start finish line with the checkered flag. The next day is the Cup race and I got there kind of early to set up for the truck race that was happening in Lime Rock, so I was covering that remotely from the Media Center in Atlanta. Once that was over, I walked through the garages to get photos of the cars between getting content up on the pages. And then it was time for the green flag. Because the race was on TNT, we were able to live program. So when big moments happened, I would run back into the Media Center to post and then head back out onto Pit Rd. I did stay out for the last 20 laps of the race and watched Chase Elliott win in his home state on the very last lap. A very popular win for the evening, let me tell you. The crowd went wild. I then headed back to the Media Center to get Winter Graphics up and pack up and head home. Thank you for coming along with me to work.
