    The Junior League of Indianapolis (JLI) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

    In my role as Grants VP, I helped facilitate awarding more than $100,000 in grants to deserving nonprofits throughout Marion County and the surrounding counties. I lead a committee of 13 members, develop our application materials, manage grant marketing, and execute two major grant cycles per year.

    In my current position as board at large, I oversee the high-level strategy of JLI, working on strategic planning and managing the mission, vision, and focus area of the league. I also help manage our fund development committee alongside our Fund Development VP.

    Circular Indiana (previously Indiana Recycling Coalition) is a statewide nonprofit focused on uniting Hoosiers in waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting in order to preserve our communities for future generations.

    As a previous board member, I served on the strategic planning task force, led the 30th-anniversary task force, and chaired the marketing and fund development committee. I lead the efforts of planning and executing our year-long celebration in honor of our 30th anniversary, which included a fundraising campaign that raised more than $30,000, planning a large celebration event, and overseeing the 30 Recycling Rock Stars campaign, which highlights 30 champions of sustainability from throughout Indiana.
    During my time as the marketing and fund development chair, board giving more than doubled each year across a three-year span.
