It’s okay to ask about growth opportunities in an interview, but avoid asking for a promotion before you even get the job. ? Show a desire to grow within the role you’re interviewing for. Try this instead, “What does the typical career path or trajectory look like for someone in this position?” ?? Show that you’re only viewing the job as a stepping stone to something better or that you think you’re over qualified. Be careful with asking questions that may imply you’re not excited or interested in the role at hand; especially on the first interview.
